What Are the Steps in the Franchise Process?

Step 1:

Submit a Franchise Consideration Form

This is a brief application form that gies us some basic information about you and where you would like to open your franchise store.

Step 2:

Speak with a Franchsie Development Representative

This is an opportunity for everyone to talk further, answer questions, and exchange more information; as well as review the process moving forward.

Step 3:

Receive a “Franchise Disclosure Document”

By federal law, every interested prospect must receive and review an “FDD” (Franchise Disclosure Document) from the franchisor. This document contains all of the pertinent information about the franchisor company, what is expected of the franchisee, an example of the Franchise Agreement and other information about the business and the relationship between the franchisee and franchisor.

Step 4:

Mutual Approval and Discovery Day

By federal law, every interested prospect must receive and review an “FDD” (Franchise Disclosure Document) from the franchisor. This document contains all of the pertinent information about the franchisor company, what is expected of the franchisee, an example of the Franchise Agreement and other information about the business and the relationship between the franchisee and franchisor.

Step 5:

Sign Franchise Agreement and Site Visits

Signing the Franchise Agreement (if not done on Discovery Day) and receive all of your reference manuals and franchise business documents, site visits and approval of your location and initial training.

Step 6:

Site Selection & Store Build-Out

Finalization of your store location and build-out your store. Ordering of all materials, equipment, & inventory. Finish additional training and preparations.

Step 7:

OPEN YOUR STORE FOR BUSINESS!

Typical Timeline:

From the signing of the Franchise Agreement, it will usually take from 4-8 weeks until the opening of your store; but it depends upon the availability of a suitable location and the extent of work that needs to be done in preparing the store for operation. We;ve seen various franchise stores open in less than 4 weeks, as well as some that have taken 3-4 months; so there is quite a wide range of timelines.
